Acupuncture can be covered by MPI

Dr. Kerr is authorized to treat MPI patients

According to Car Accident Attorneys web site: – “there are about 160,000 road accidents in Canada every year. According to the Transportation Safety Board approximately 2800 to 2900 people are killed on Canadian roads each year. These statistics show that while driving in Canada is relatively safe compared to other countries (including the US), there are still risks”

In the past years I have helped many patients with car accidents injuries and their rehabilitation was easier and faster with acupuncture treatments.

If you were involved in a car accident MPI offers “The Personal Injury Protection Plan” (PIPP) that reimburses you for medical expenses incurred because of an accident.

In these cases, MPI also provides assessments & treatment by special health care practitioners as part of the Rehabilitation coverage.

It is a pleasure to inform that Prairie Medical Acupuncture Clinic (Dr. Priscilla Kerr) is now authorized by Manitoba Public Insurance to treat their patients due to car injury.

But the patients need a Physician’s referral and than we should wait the final approval of MPI to start the Acupuncture treatments.

If you are interested in have acupuncture treatments to help you to deal with car accident’s pain, speak with your physician to get your referral to open the process with MPI.
